The Beauty of the Perito Moreno Glacier

Outside the charming town of El Calafate on the Lago Argentina, lies one of Patagonia’s most famous sites: the Perito Moreno Glacier.
I had opted for a combination of a short one and a half hour trek, and a glacier viewing cruise, taking me close to the face of glacier itself, where I could witness huge shards of ice separate themselves from the body of the glacier, accompanied by roars, rumbles and cracks, as the ice splits, and thunderous crashes and splashes as the debris lands in the water below.
