Where to shop in Spain if you like Zara

If you like Zara you might want to try out a bit of bargain hunting in other Spanish stores whenever you hit Mainland Spain or other Spanish territories.
So where should you shop in Spain if you like Zara, and want some chain stores which haven’t made their mark on the UK but have similar quality, prices and styles?
Despite London having the best choice of shopping in the world, there are still a few fashion brands that haven’t made their way into the UK yet, or don’t dominate the London shopping scene.
Many of these shops pop up in various far flung destinations too, enabling you to snap up some basics that the folks at home can’t get their hands on.
Many Spanish chains are to be found all over the world, here are 3 examples:
Stradivarius
Zara-like women’s fashion store Stradivarius may be better described as Zara-lite, as it’s a little less high quality than Zara itself – perhaps sits halfway between Zara and Bershka, so I usually stock up on plain jersey tops and basics at this store.
Recently I came across a perfect pair of blue suede platform sandals at their branch in Agadir, Morocco – just what I’d been looking for in London for weeks! I added these to the collection of no less than 3 pairs of shoes I bought that day. Stradiivarious has now opened in the UK, but it can be easier to find a branch in Spain.
Women’s Secret
I’ve also found Spanish shopping streets dominated by Women’s Secret, a modern and funky lingerie store, which does great bright accessories, lovely nightwear and cute gifts. I’ve shopped at this store in places like Dubai too, and it’s where I head to if my suitcase is lost or delayed for a fun way to spend my insurance cash and buy my essentials!
Springfield
Springfield is a great casual urban clothes retailer, a little like Gap, which does a good line in reasonably-priced menswear, and does good quality knits at great prices (when the Euro is favourable!) – the women’s clothing isn’t bad either, although more on the sporty and casual side.
The only thing to be wary of here is that in Spain and the Canary and Balearic Islands they insist on seeing some form of ID with your purchase if you’re using a credit card (chip and pin hasn’t taken hold yet). So if you’re planning a shopping trip, it’s best to have a driving license or passport with you!
